S7E30 of TSORR Radio Show went out live at 19h00 on Rebel Rock Radio on 25 July 2024.  The show was jam-packed with your favourite features:  Twisted Triplets, The Evolution of Iron Maiden, Immortals, The Diabolical Challenge, and a 5-minute chat with Basson Laas.  The rest of the show was made up of rock and metal.

You can follow us on Facebook, X, or Instagram, just search for The Story of Rock and Roll on those sites.

The artists featured (see below) are in order of play, so you can get to the stuff you like quickly if you want to.

Regarding the above-mentioned, I interviewed Basson Laas, a singer-songwriter who has just released a new track called “Worth Loving”.  We chatted for about 8 minutes and played the track.  Check out the video on YouTube, it is really cool.  It will be the next TSORR newsletter (contact me if you want to be on the TSORR mailing list for the monthly Newsletter).

This week on the Twisted Triplets we had three tracks called “Million Miles Away” from Stanley June, Rory Gallagher, and Hanoi Rocks.  Stanley June is a South African artist out of Johannesburg.  Rory’s track is actually called ‘A’ Million Miles Away, but it seemed a shame to gong him out for that,  let’s just say one of the triplets had a slight genetic defect.

This week, Immortals came from The Cult, and a track called “White”, taken off their album Ceremony.

The Diabolical Challenge looked at four bands beginning with the letter ‘F’.  The idea is that we have 4 albums, and you can only pick one.  This week we had:

Fozzy – Chasing the Grail

Faith No More – Album of the Year

Fall Out Boy – From Under the Cork Tree

Foreigner – Double Vision

Bomb Crocodile and Slow Panda’s picks of the week were David Bowie – “Move On” and Gorira – “Our Time Is Now”.

Artists Featured:  Rammstein, Airbourne, Foo Fighters, Coheed & Cambria, The Answer, Texas Hippie Coalition, Marilyn Manson, Nightwish, Thundermother, Therapy?, The Clash, Deep Purple, Aerosmith, Stanley June, Rory Gallagher, Hanoi Rocks, System of a Down, Black Label Society, Iron Maiden, Basson Laas, Robin Auld, Parkway Drive, Sixx AM, The Cult, Fozzy, Faith No More, Fall Out Boy, Foreigner, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Butch Walker, David Bowie, Gojira, Resurrection Kings, Manowar, Machine Head, Linkin Park.
