S6E34 went out live on 24 Aug 2023 at 19h00 on Rebel Rock Radio.  Broadcasting out of Benoni, east of Johannesburg in the sinking pit of corruption and incompetence formally known as South Africa.  Ok, it’s not that bad, just having a laugh, sort of.  The show kicked off with Bad Company and a classic track called Movin’ On.  We stayed with the classic rock for a while and then built in some US, a bit of ‘80s metal and some grunge.  Check out the Artists Featured section below.

Check out the short 5-minute interview with Jackson Colt the SA shred guitarist who is giving us some awesome ‘80s style guitar-driven metal.  The Immortals this week featured a track off Rainbow’s incredibly good Rising album.  Clocking in at just over 8 min it was a worthy addition to the hallowed halls of The Immortals.

The Diabolical Challenge featured 1992, the four albums were:

Alce in Chains – Dirt (Godsmack)

Pantera – Vulgar Display of Power (Mouth For War)

Iron Maiden – Afraid To Shoot Strangers (Afraid To Shoot Strangers)

Megadeth Countdown to Extinction.  (Countdown to Extinction)

Check out the last half hour where we feature a cover of the Zager and Evans track 2525 by Metal Monsters Philistine, and SA’s phenominally good Diverted Disorder.

Artists featured:  Bad Company, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Accept, Social Distortion, Anti-Flag, Velvet Revolver, W.A.S.P., Tony Martin, Temple of the Dog, Pearl Jam, Audioslave, Saxon, Def Leppard, Cold Chisel, The Angels, The Cult U2, Jackson Colt, David Lee Roth, Tom Petty, The Pretty Reckless, Danko Jones, ACDC, Rainbow, Alice In Chains, Pantera, Iron maiden, Megadeth, Philistine, Motörhead, Grand Funk Railroad, Boston, Airbourne, Tom waits, Diverted Disorder
